i personally think Alice in resident evil extinction was smart to wear the duster coat. if you look at people in the middle east or even cowboys in the west, they all wear things that cover their entire body so they can sweat more. which keeps you cool. the heavy trench coat would be perfect for holding in moisture. also kudos to her for wearing goggles: good protection for eyes in the middle of the desert. and i like how she didn't use a gun to take out the zombie at the gas station....aka stevie, she used a crossbow which doesn't make enough sound to attract more undead.

Actually, I'll leave all that to you guys. I'll be wearing a full set of superbike style racing leathers, which entails a one-piece suit made of extra-thick leather (designed to slide across pavement at in excess of 100 miles an hour) with embedded armor in key areas such as the shoulders, knees, elbows and back. Will most definitely have an pair of race gloves (thickest leather you will find that will still let you move your fingers) and a tough set of boots. I might even wear a helmet to be honest with you. If you get a good one like a Shoei or Arai they are super-light, incredibly tough, and provide eye/mouth/nose protection. Provided you don't just wade around in the middle of a horde of zombies for too long, motorcycle racing gear should make you pretty much bite-proof.

ha... plate mail. we'll just call you the walking zombie sardine. :)

here's my advice...

leather jacket is definitely the way to go. try biting through one and see what i mean.

i have a pair of soccer shin guards that use on my arms to protect against possible bone breakage from strong bites.

cargo pants are handy but not as durable as good old denim.

task force boots (like those worn by security guards) are pretty comfortable.

gloves are a must. scratching your way to survival will take a toll without them. baseball batting gloves hold up pretty well, are inexpensive and allow for maneuverability.

use a bandana on the neck, bandit style so you can pull it over your face to prevent infected flesh from entering your mouth and nose. eye protection too. i dont know of any scarf that would hold up to human jaws and teeth.

hope everyone finds this info helpful and maybe someday lifesaving.

I think personally I'd go with the leather biker look. Gives protection and holds tightly to the body to prevent snagging on objects or undead. Suppliment it with some sports gear like knee pads, hockey body armor, ect and you should be light weight and well protected against basic attacks. Might even look bad-assed enough to make people not second guess you or try to steal your stuff.

One thing to remember is what you choose to wear may be what you wear FOREVER. Dont neglect your fashion duty in your undeath, go with something comfy cause you'll be wearing it for a long time. Either that or have some courtesy for those trying to slay you, like wearing lots of rhinestones so you're easy to spot. Just don't wear white jeans, dead or alive those things are hideous.
