The Zomblog: Zombie Internet and recent happenings
So…it all started back in July or at least the signs started appearing then. Being dead, yet also being recognized as alive. Being present, yet always away. What is this occurrence you ask? My zombie internet!
Now we take zombies seriously here and I know that most things “zombie” are dangerous, but the “zombie” internet or “living dead” internet is more annoying than anything else. Think of a zombie infestation that cannot be spread affecting an old man without his dentures. He’s gumming you all day, but it won’t kill you and all you want to do is bash his head in. He’s not really dangerous, so you leave him be and hope that he either rots or they find a cure.
That is kind of what my internet was like for the months of July through last Monday. The computers in my house recognized the signal and said that we were connected, but alas, when you tried opening IE or Firefox you got an error page. To keep a long story short it took two technicians with the first one recommending a new modem (to no avail) and the second checking the phone lines. Turns out the “zombie” power line was the one connecting the house to the power pole and thus Mr. Verizon slew the zombie internet and I have returned to ZWN once again!
As for recent happening…it’s taken a week to write something because my grandmother passed away a week ago on Sunday, so life has been a little difficult. I’m hoping, however, to make up for lost time. ^_^

my internet did that as well. i sat at my computer for 4 hours before it decided to work
