Hollywood Zombie Walk – April 24th

Hollywood was overrun by zombies again last Saturday, April 24th and we at ZWN were there for the fun. Those zombie lovers at So.Cal  ZombieWalk put together another one, and as always they did it for charity. Those
that showed up were told to bring canned goods for the homeless.  Charitable zombies? What’s next-Sparkly Vampires? Uh, nevermind.

Around 6:30 pm the zombies appeared on Cherokee Ave and staggered onto Hollywood Blvd. They shuffled along Hollywood Blvd until they got to the Mann’s Chinese theatre where once there they scared tourists and milled
around for awhile before crossing the street and heading back. Tourist buses travelling down Hollywood Blvd got much more than they bargained for and many stopped to take pictures. The obligatory hearse drove by too and caused a small stir amongst the zombies. Local shopkeepers are used to this kind of thing and they don’t seem to mind…well, not that much anyway.

We at ZWN counted about 125 zombies! Some of the zombies included Old Man Boomer zombie, Little Red Riding Hood zombie, Raccoon City Police Department zombies, Giant Grotesque Monster zombie, and Zombie Guy with Zombie dog and the celebrity zombie award went to Marilyn Monroe zombie.

We at ZWN just love Saturday nights in Hollywood, especially with zombies. The next event for So.Cal  ZombieWalk will be in August and the location is being kept a secret at this time. We did speak with Anthony the Event Organizer and he said it will be a good one.
