H1N1 directions?

Sorry I have been gone from the forums for so long but I bring news. Our hospital put out orders for those with the H1N1 virus to stay home and don't even report for duty. Also to call if your have a fever of over 105 and if symptoms get better then worsen again. The other thing that bothers me is that the government is SCRAMBLING for a vaccine. I have never seen something like this over a flu virus before. As these vaccines come out who knows what will happen. All of these send me signs that something else is up. Did anyone here catch this virus and if you did, what are you experiencing?

I haven't caught it, but I know several people who have, and they got over it in a couple weeks like any regular flu.

As much as we all wish H1N1 were secretly solunum, fact of the matter is it's just a souped up version of any regular garden variety flu...and if I had to put in any speculations as to why the government's freaking out so much about it I'd say it's because the people are freaking out about it...the media has everyone scared of the dreaded piggy flu and the government is trying to end all the chaos and mass hysteria by coming up with a vaccine before we all rip each others heads off.

Here in California its been crazy. Alot of panicky people here.
Apparently they ran out of the vaccine, then got more in, then they regulated it to pregnant women and kids. Old people and guys are screwed. Its been months and there still isnt enough.
Here in Calif we have a crazy amount of Mexicans (we're next to Mexico, remember), and they are actually standing in line with their multiple kids on the streets waiting for the vaccine. Worst off, they get it for free, everyone else here has to pay.

It's been like that up in Washington too. They recently came up with a nasal spray vaccine but their trials found out that people over the age of 50 regect it in this form and it doent work for them.
