The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Richard Rubenstein (“Dune”) is planning to produce “Dawn of the Dead 2,” and all I can say about that is, “Huh?!” What makes this story fascinating is that this is not going to be a sequel to the 2004 remake of “Dawn of the Dead,” but rather to the 1978 original. Now, call me crazy, but isn’t that going to confuse the hell out of today’s movie-going public?
